That's right: I'm back from "vabation." As is Alexia, to my immense delight. Anyway, an interesting (if not downright startling) bit of news: My dad and my brother have gone on vacation to the Virgin Islands. Today (what? No, of course that's not the news. Shut up.) my mother got a call from my dad. Before he left he'd complained of a slight rash on his torso, which the doctor had put down to a virus. Yesterday, however, he got a call from the Red Cross, to whom he'd donated blood before he left. When they ran the routine diagnostics on his blood before accepting it, they made a rather alarming discovery. It turns out that my dad has contracted the West Nile virus.
This, of course, absolutely terrified me until I learned that it's not actually contagious except through mosquitoes. Also that it is not, as I previously believed, fatal.
On the other hand, our house is completely infested with mosquitoes, particularly my room (I've got something like eleven bites on me right now), and I've been horribly tired for the past week or so. I haven't really been sure of why; I've been working out like crazy, which usually makes me feel better, but I literally cannot stop yawning and have actually started taking frequent naps. This did not, of course, worry me at all until I learned that one of the primary symptoms of West Nile is "fatigue and tiredness."
So; yeah. We'll hope for the best, shall we?

If you die I'll hate you forever. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. I'll come after you and shoot you if you even consider dying of some stupid West Nile Virus.
DON'T LEAVE ME, QUAYNESS!
*weeps....and junk*

Although, to tell you the truth, I doubt I would notice the difference. Knowing you.
